Heart of NJ is proud to announce that we had our first ZOOM Retreat on February 5th and 6th, 2021! We are fortunate to have had two fabulous coaches with us. On Friday evening, Kathleen Hansen imparted some valuable information on vocal production. On Saturday morning, Jennifer Cooke taught us some of her wonderful tags, in addition to some great techniques to use on our musical journey.
In the afternoon, a few of us attended some of two-time Queen, Karen Breidert's afternoon classes at the Region's Leadership Day forum.

On August 28, baritone Diane Buschel and the Golden Apple Chorus were honored to receive the SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY award from Support Connection, a local not-for-profit organization that provides emotional, social and educational support to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer. The event was a virtual celebration and annual benefit to help fund the free counseling services that Support Connection provides. With sorrow, Twin County Chorus sends condolences to the family and friends of Tina Ackerman, who passed away suddenly on October 28. She was a treasured member of our chorus for about a year. In that short time, she became a friend to all of us. We will remember her for her pretty voice, her warmth, and her upbeat positive nature. She was a kind, talented, lovely lady we will greatly miss.
On August 26, A double quartet from the Seneca Soundwaves directed by Elaine Macrillo were privileged to sing at a Naturalization Ceremony for 21 new citizens from 18 countries held in Seneca Falls, NY, in the chapel of the Women's . Fittingly, the ceremony was held at the Women's Rights Museum in Seneca Falls, NY at the end of 'Women's Equality Weekend' (August 23 - 26).

With deep sadness, Twin County Chorus sends condolences to the family and friends of Marilyn Vokoun, who passed away on August 28, 2019. She was a much loved, cherished member of our chorus, who generously shared her time and many talents. Always happy to help, Marilyn was our Ways and Means Chair, and served on our Management Team for six years. She amazed us all with her analysis and organizational abilities, and incredible attention to detail.
