Jean Schoenlank outlines WHO IS INVITED to attend Leadership Day…
  • All current leaders, whether musical or administrative in your choruses, and anybody who wants to be a leader – so the bottom line is: EVERYONE is invited.

Karen Breidert lets us know WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO on February 6…
  • We’re going to be talking about the principles of leadership, and the definition of being a leader, and especially being a leader during a pandemic.”
  • We’re going to talk about knowing yourself. It’s hard to be a leader of others if you don’t know yourself. So we’re going to do some self-assessment, and then we’re going to talk about knowing your people. The people that you’re here to serve.”
  • And then we’re going talk about building your skills. And we’ll talk about some of the skills we have in common, whether we are musical leaders or administrative leaders. But then we’re also going to have a time to spilt those up and get specific about the roles of being an administrative leader, a chapter leader, a regional management team leader; a musical leader, being a director, being a section leader – there are so many ways that we’re called upon to step up and lead our region, our chorus.
  • I am so excited about this day, and Jean and I have been working to plan an agenda that I think is going to be something for everybody!

Leadership Day 2021 will take place on Zoom, and the event is FREE ($15 suggested contribution). Stay tuned for the full day’s agenda with class descriptions, and registration form, coming in the next few days. We will ask you to register in advance – so we know who / how many members to anticipate, and so we can share the access link before the event.
