Stolen Moments is thrilled to announce the addition of Robin Benowitz as tenor in "Stolen Moments". Robin has been a Sweet Adeline since 1999. She was an English teacher who spent 17 years as the musical director for her school's drama program. Currently, she is a stay at home mom, who keeps busy with the occasional tutoring job, a collection of children's poems that she is writing, and the weekly chorus newsletter. She enjoys spending time with her husband Phil, her son Daniel, and their dog Max.
Twin County Chorus has been very busy this summer, with activities that took many of us beyond our Thursday rehearsals. Our ten members who went to Ireland in June with the Harmony Travel Chorus, a traveling chorus of SAI members, had a blast; sightseeing, singing, and building friendships every day. We’ve been learning new songs, and getting our ideas together for our fall fundraiser. moreHarmony Celebration Chorus is hosting "Summer Sizzling Series", free vocal workshops for women to be held at the chorus rehearsal facility, Temple Israel, 475 Grove Street, Ridgewood, NJ. On three Wednesday evenings, Aug 9, 16, and 23, all level of singers are invited to attend classes with certified director and coach, Kat Britt of Warren and Sharon Vitkofsky of Wood Ridge. Our chorus had worked very hard gearing up for regional competition this year. Our director, Katie Blackwood, got sick 4 days before we were to appear on stage. She was in the hospital and wouldn’t be able to direct us in contest so we moved on to Plan B!
