The Spirit of Syracuse Chorus excitedly announced today that it has appointed a pair of accomplished musical professionals to lead the chorus into its next era of musical excellence in Central New York.

After an extensive national search, Sky Harris and Alicia Caron, were chosen as the chorus’ first ever co- front line-directors. Master Director, Kay Crawford, will retire from the role of the organization’s director, effective June 1, 2023.

The Evergreen Chorus is searching for a new permanent Director. After 20 plus years, our current Director has decided to retire and return to the risers.
We are a small, dedicated chorus with a rich 61 year history with Sweet Adelines International. Evergreen enjoys singing in our community and competing in the Region 15 (Greater NY/NJ) Regional contest. Our weekly rehearsals are held in Poughkeepsie, NY on Tuesday nights.

Our director, Scott Brannon, has made the difficult decision to resign. Scott came to us fifteen years ago as our chorus made the transition from Ramapo Valley to Harmony Celebration, following in the footsteps of Renee Craig. Not many people could have done that, but Scott is a fine musician and director. His talent and showmanship were the perfect match for our chorus as we created a new identity and future. The Road to Phoenix and the Top Ten

Liberty Oak Chorus’ journey was not paved in gold. It involved more than two years of Zoom rehearsals and singing in parking lots until the sun went down.  We had to stop outdoor rehearsals because we couldn’t see Katie directing us and finding places that would let us sing despite the pandemic was a challenge.
