On August 28, baritone Diane Buschel and the Golden Apple Chorus were honored to receive the SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY award from Support Connection, a local not-for-profit organization that provides emotional, social and educational support to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer.  The event was a virtual celebration and annual benefit to help fund the free counseling services that Support Connection provides.   Diane and Golden Apple have performed at many of Support Connection’s events, including singing at the annual Support-A-Walk for the last 20 years!  As part of the virtual...

With sorrow, Twin County Chorus sends condolences to the family and friends of Tina Ackerman, who passed away suddenly on October 28. She was a treasured member of our chorus for about a year. In that short time, she became a friend to all of us. We will remember her for her pretty voice, her warmth, and her upbeat positive nature. She was a kind, talented, lovely lady we will greatly miss.

On August 26, A double quartet from the Seneca Soundwaves directed by Elaine Macrillo were privileged to sing at a Naturalization Ceremony for 21 new citizens from 18 countries held in Seneca Falls, NY, in the chapel of the Women's . Fittingly, the ceremony was held at the Women's Rights Museum in Seneca Falls, NY at the end of 'Women's Equality Weekend' (August 23 - 26).

Every Soundwave who took part agreed that it was a very moving, emotional experience, and all felt honored to have been asked to sing - "Consider Yourself" (from Oliver), "God Bless America" for the new citizens...

With deep sadness, Twin County Chorus sends condolences to the family and friends of Marilyn Vokoun, who passed away on August 28, 2019. Balancing Act Quartet has had a very active schedule this summer!  We've done presentations on the History of Barbershop, performances at adult communities, a featured spot at a county fair, and were the musical entertainment at a historical farm which had a display of 30+ Model T Fords.  Still have a few performances on the books for later this month and early in September!  Our performance at Northampton Community Days in Pennsylvania 7/13/19 was a perfect way to celebrate Barbershop Music Appreciation Day and the birthday of Sweet Adelines.  Hope you have all also had a great summer!...

On Memorial Day, we were priviledged to perform at Hazlet's Memorial Day Dedication Ceremony, as we have been for several years.  It is always an honor to be able to do this for our fallen servicemen and women.

The last week in June was a very special one for ten of our members, as they performed with the "Sisters in Harmony Festival" Chorus in...

Liberty Oak Chorus

We are thrilled to be the 2019 Regional Championship Chorus with our highest score ever of 677!  We have worked tirelessly this past year with coaches Jim Arns, Renee Porzel, Karen Breidert, Dale Syverson, Peggy Gram and Michael Gellert.

The year was filled with great times along with very sad times with the loss of one of our long time members, Jean Revere Ferguson.  It took us all a time to recover from her sudden loss and we’re still not there yet.  We miss her deeply!    We dedicated our regional performance to Jean. She was surely with us on stage in...
