Capitaland Chorus would like to congratulate Carol Stearns on being voted Woman of Note 2018!

Carol is an amazing woman and has proven her dedication and commitment to Capitaland repeatedly over the years. Not only has she been Secretary to our Board and Management Team, but she has taken on other responsibilites to insure the success of the chorus. For example, she has assisted with our shows by collecting program ads and working on raffle baskets. Carol also welcomes prospective members with a great smile when she fills in for our Membership Chair during the winter months.

Laissez les bon temps rouler! 

In an unexpected, yet thrilling, chain of events, the Spirit of Syracuse Chorus has officially accepted an invitation to compete in the 2019 Sweet Adelines International Competition in New Orleans! SOS will once again join their friends from Greater Nassau on the 'Big Stage' during SAI's penultimate showcase of harmonic talents.

It’s been snowing outside but things have heated up for Greater Nassau Chorus! Competition preparation, luncheons, new members, and performances mean that we have been busy ladies. 

GNC is SO happy to announce three new members!  Welcome to Alicia Spiegel, Jeri Schwartz, and Laura Lynch, who have joined us as sisters on the risers.  We are thrilled to have them.  With competition preparation in high gear, our newbies have jumped right in.  The excitement is contagious as GNC gets ready to join our sister choruses in Albany and ring those chords.

Monkey Wrench quartet is excited to sing in the Open Division of this year’s Region 15 contest! We are four friends who met when we were all members of Hickory Tree Chorus. We had been busy with separate musical commitments over the years, but when a monkey wrench (or two) separated our chorus lives, we made our dream of singing together a priority while we still could.

Our retreat was held at the Princeton Marriott the weekend of March 9-11th with the dynamic coaching duo of Dale Syverson and Peggy Gram. The weekend was exhilarating, educational, exhausting, and great fun!  Dale and Peggy work so well together and the chorus responded wonderfully under the direction of our Master Director, Katie Blackwood.
