Announcing THE BLUE NOTES
Region 15’s Quartet Champion Chorus
Region 15 has created a new regional chorus made up of past regional quartet champions called The Blue Notes – to remember and celebrate our rich quartet history, and to recognize and mobilize the talent and experience available right here within our region.
Over the years, many different groups have performed while the judges' scores were tallied at our regional contest. In this inaugural year, in lieu of the competing quartet chorus, The Blue Notes will sing at the end of the quartet contest, under the direction of Master Director 700 Harriette Walters. Members of The Blue Notes will also serve as quartet guides – assisting competing quartets as they progress through the contest pattern, and offering a supportive and calming voice of experience.
We are thrilled to announce this new quartet champions program – and we look forward to welcoming new members to the ranks of The Blue Notes on Friday, April 12 in Albany.
