It’s been a very busy summer/fall for Liberty Oak Chorus with our annual show on October 7th with the Mid- Atlantic quartet champions “Gimme Four”. What a great show! Then a week later, we were the guest chorus at the Oceanaires annual show in Toms River, NJ. The packed audience loved LOC ! We are currently rehearsing with the Brothers in Harmony for their annual show “A Buzz for the Holidays” featuring 3 champions- The Brothers in Harmony, Liberty Oak Chorus and the Buzz! After 11 years directing Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus, Nancy Faddegon will be joining her fellow singers on the risers and taking on the role of Associate Director. During Nancy’s amazing tenure as director, the chorus has won 11 medals including four Regional Division A and AA medals and two International Harmony Classic Medals. VOCE Quartet is still riding high after our 11th place finish in Vegas ‘16’s competition. We are comprised of 3 members from Region 1 (Judy, Beth and Angie,) who sing with Millennium Magic Chorus, and 1 member from Region 15 (Deanna), who sings with Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus. What a summer Liberty Oak Chorus is having with coaches like Karen Breidert in June to work on musical artistry and finesse and then Jean Barford in July to work on sound. Stolen Moments is thrilled to announce the addition of Robin Benowitz as tenor in "Stolen Moments". Robin has been a Sweet Adeline since 1999. She was an English teacher who spent 17 years as the musical director for her school's drama program. Currently, she is a stay at home mom, who keeps busy with the occasional tutoring job, a collection of children's poems that she is writing, and the weekly chorus newsletter. She enjoys spending time with her husband Phil, her son Daniel, and their dog Max.
