An excellent 2023, and looking forward to Regional!

We have had just an AWESOME year!  Haven't updated in a while--Rebecca Sundt joined us in June 2021 as our tenor, and we have had just a blast ever since.  Lots of performances, and we improved our score at Regional 2023 by 69 points and came in seventh!  Very happy with that.  Since last Spring, we have performed on a couple of shows, sung at various hired gigs, and done strolling carols in Haddonfield.  Just had a coaching session with "the mighty awesome" Joe Connelly, who helped us with some changes on a new uptune we plan for April in Albany!  Can't wait to see everyone there!

Lend us a tenor!

Balancing Act Quartet would like to thank Christine Gunderson for singing with us during this pandemic year!  However, other demands are now making it difficult for her to continue quartetting, and she is stepping down as tenor in the quartet.  We are now looking for another tenor!  We are located in the Central NJ area, love to do performances, and are interested in competing. We have a large repertoire and like to rehearse weekly.  We also love to have fun--on chorus weekends away, we are among the last to stop singing and go to bed!  If this sounds interesting to you please contact us!

Busy summer for Balancing Act!

Balancing Act Quartet has had a very active schedule this summer!  We've done presentations on the History of Barbershop, performances at adult communities, a featured spot at a county fair, and were the musical entertainment at a historical farm which had a display of 30+ Model T Fords.  Still have a few performances on the books for later this month and early in September!  Our performance at Northampton Community Days in Pennsylvania 7/13/19 was a perfect way to celebrate Barbershop Music Appreciation Day and the birthday of Sweet Adelines.  Hope you have all also had a great summer!

A New Balance!

Balancing Act Quartet is excited to announce that we have a new Bass!  We welcome Jan Rubino into the quartet--she has been a member of Liberty Oak Chorus (and SAI) since 2013, and is one of the chorus front row dancers.  We hope to get a chance to sing for you at Regional in the Spring!  Pam, Mary, Jen, and Jan, Balancing Act Quartet
