Hello Region 15!

Harmony is SO excited to represent Regions 15 and 9 in Las Vegas!  “This is really happening!”  That’s the phrase uttered so often in our rehearsals, because we feel incredibly lucky to have found each other, and to be supported by our Regions!  You have been so generous with your encouraging words, giving hugs, and gifts of love, that we are forever humbled. Thank You!

As many know, long distance quartetting can be a challenge, but we are resolute in continuing our journey, well…. because Harmony has formed a bond that is unbreakable by distance.  But those...

VOCE Quartet is still riding high after our 11th place finish in Vegas ‘16’s competition.  We are comprised of 3 members from Region 1 (Judy, Beth and Angie,) who sing with Millennium Magic Chorus, and 1 member from Region 15 (Deanna), who sings with Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus.  We travel a total of about 430 miles weekly for this “seriously fun” barbershop hobby.  While there are always challenges in coordinating schedules to make things...

What a summer Liberty Oak Chorus is having with coaches like Karen Breidert in June to work on musical artistry and finesse and then Jean Barford in July to work on sound.  We so enjoyed both of these very talented coaches and continue to work on the techniques given to us to become even better singers!

We also have a Summer Quartet program to help each member become more independent and confident. It’s educational and fun as Katie works with the quartet chosen at random to sing in front of the chorus and be coached by Katie.  Contact Katie Blackwood and she will share with you the...

Twin County Chorus has been very busy this summer, with activities that took many of us beyond our Thursday rehearsals. Our ten members who went to Ireland in June with the Harmony Travel Chorus, a traveling chorus of SAI members, had a blast; sightseeing, singing, and building friendships every day. We’ve been learning new songs, and getting our ideas together for our fall fundraiser. Several prospective members checked us out during our membership drive in July, with some expected to audition soon. The highlight of our summer has been the recent participation of 12 TC members at the...

Capitaland Chorus is proud to announce that Megan Scolaro is our Woman of Note 2017! Capitaland Chorus is extremely fortunate to have such a talented musical leader such as Megan. Whether she is conducting physical or vocal warmups, her enthusiasm and support inspire us all to do our very best as singers. As baritone section leader, she handled her responsibilities in the same giving, friendly way. We can count on Megan to hear and comment on the accuracy of pitch and our singing, and we often rely on her suggestions and comments for improvement. Megan makes...

Now, we’re rehearsing our repertoire and getting ready for a June 1 performance. Ten of our members are touring Ireland in June with the Tropical Harmony Chorus, a traveling chorus of SAI...
