Bravo Award: After Hours
Quartet News: Deanna Longwell Sargent, tenor with Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus, is now singing with Region 1 and 11th Place International Quartet, VOCE Quartet! They'll be joining Greater Nassau, Spirit of Syracuse and Evergreen Choruses at Vegas 2017! Welcome to the Region 15 Family!
Region 15 contestants had a great showing this year at the Sweet Adelines International Chorus and Quartet Competitions in Las Vegas. Harmony Celebration, directed by Scott Brannon, placed 14th overall; Liberty Oak Chorus, directed by Katie Blackwood, placed 18th. Greater Nassau Chorus director, Harriette Walters, performed at the Quartet Semi FInals with her quartet, Famous Janes, and placed 20th. Scores from all of the competition sessions can be found on the Sweet Adelines International website.
Congratulations to Evergreen Chorus who accepted an invitation to compete on the International Stage in the Harmony Classic Division A (small chorus) competition in October 2017 in Las Vegas! Also, congratulations to Spirit of Syracuse Chorus who will be heading to Vegas as a wildcard representing Greater NY/NJ Region #15 in 2017! They join Regional Champions, Greater Nassau Chorus!
Heart of LI chorus director relocating. Seeking new director.
The Heart of LI chorus is seeking an energetic musical director with strong leadership skills and knowledge of barbershop art form.
